Back Protection and Lifting Procedures Training Seminar
Each year, 15% to 20% of the United States' population will suffer from lower back pain. Back pain is the second-leading cause of absenteeism in the workplace, behind only the common cold, and the most frequent trigger of workplace compensation claims in the United States.
Yet back pain and injuries are preventable. And considering their high cost, measured in terms of lost wages, lower productivity, and a decline in the quality of life, instruction in how to protect the back and prevent back injuries is a necessary component of every employer's training program.
This course teaches employees to recognize workplace hazards and practices that commonly lead to back injuries and instructs them in the correct procedures for performing a variety of tasks safely, comfortably and with minimal risk of back injury.
TARGET AUDIENCE All employees requiring training in proper lifting procedures to protect themselves from back injuries.
TIME TO COMPLETE 60 minutes
PURPOSE To train employees in recognizing workplace hazards that can lead to back injuries and to teach safe ergonomic work practices, especially with respect to lifting, to prevent back injuries.
