This course has four units, Introduction to JavaScript, Introduction to DHTML, Introduction to Plug-Ins, and Introduction to Java Applets. The first unit contrasts client-side and server-side technologies used to create dynamic content for Web pages. It also covers the use of JavaScript for detecting browsers, redirecting pages, and preloading pages. The second unit defines Dynamic HTML (DHTML) and the technologies it requires. The third unit covers plug-in basics. You also learn to create rich media streaming advertisements. The fourth unit defines Java applets and their functionality.
