This course provides an introduction to, and an overview of, end-of-life care.
Course Objectives:- Recognize circumstances to consider when dealing with a terminal illness, and elements of partnerships in care
- Identify specific concepts, assessments and interventions about care at the end of life
- Recognize significant factors involved at the end of life, and describe the grieving process

Brita O'Carroll - RN, BS, MEd, CPUR Brita M. O'Carroll, RN, BS, MEd, CPUR, was educated at Duke University, Columbia University, New York University and the University of North Florida. She has experience in clinical nursing, health information management, as an educator, a regional director for emergency medical services, international research and is a published freelance writer. Ms. O'Carroll has made presentations at national and international conferences and is a Fellow in the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health and the International Council on Alcohol and Addictions.
