FMLA Changes: 10 Things You Must Know And Do Now Training Seminar

If you're still trying to make sense of the Department of Labor's revisions to the Family and Medical Leave Act, you're not alone. Don't try to wade through the hundreds of pages of FMLA revisions from the DOL. Let us break down the new regulations and show you the key issues you MUST address NOW to get into compliance.

You'll get all your FMLA compliance questions answered by DC employment law insiders Susan Webman and Rodney Satterwhite when you participate in this all-new audio conference.

Learning Objectives:
  • The 10 major changes to traditional FMLA made by the new regs on January 16 that EVERY employer should know, including:
    1. How procedures have been fine-tuned regarding required notices, medical and fitness-for-duty certifications, and designation of leave
    2. An explanation of the new rules involving leave for military family members
    3. How eligibility requirements are clarified for employees who are jointly employed
    4. Clarification of when an employee's inability to work overtime exhausts FMLA leave
    5. When employers are allowed to require employees to comply with the terms and conditions of their paid leave policies in order to substitute paid leave for FMLA leave
  • The likelihood of further changes to FMLA. Does a Democratic-controlled Congress and White House signal more changes on the way?
  • The definition of "essential functions" and what employers need to understand under the new FMLA regulations
  • What's required in terms of communication between employers and employees
  • The necessary forms and policy changes employers must have to comply with the new regs
