Air Conditioning & Refrigeration - 2 Day seminar Training Seminar
Purpose of Seminar:
Being able to understand, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot your own air conditioning system is what this course is all about. It is perfect for the multi-craft maintenance person who is called on to take care of "everything" in their building or facility. And, because we know time is money, this seminar is designed to have immediate impact! We approach our students as if they were our own employees. We give them real world, practical knowledge they can use today. And, they are expected to go back to their workplace and immediately apply what they have learned. Now, that's "Real World" Training!
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will receive a training certificate and .7 American Trainco Continuing Education Units for each day attended (1.4 credits for 2 days), indicating that the student has learned to:
After Day 1
- Understand the fundamentals of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Identify components in AC&R systems and know what they do
- Know the differences, types, and classifications of Refrigerants & Oils
- Accurately read systems & component measurements
- Understand air properties and understand how they affect the AC&R system
- Work safely with AC&R systems
- Understand what licensing and certification is required/not required
After Day 2
- Operate an AC&R system from top to bottom
- Conduct preventative and repair maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and service AC&R systems

Agenda |
|
| |
Designed specifically for building, plant and facility maintenance & energy management, this course is designed for anyone who needs to understand basic operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in order to improve efficiencies and uptime at their industrial plants and large building facilities. Students can attend one, or both days of this two day seminar.
DAY 1 - PRINCIPLES, COMPONENTS & SYSTEMS
In Day 1 of this seminar, students are provided a broad introduction to Air Conditioning and Refrigeration - a great overview for apprentice technicians, multi-craft trades people, building managers, or anyone who wants to understand the general principles and concepts of A/C and Refrigeration. In addition to understanding the general principles, students will learn about the primary components and accessories used in air conditioning systems, how they work, and where and how these components and accessories are used in HVAC&R systems. Providing the student a well-rounded introduction to Air Conditioning and Refrigeration is the primary goal for Day 1. Discussions about refrigerants & oils, and accompanying regulatory laws will also be included in this first day.
