Fundamentals of Programmable Logic Controllers and PLC Automation Systems Training Seminar
National Technology Transfer, Inc. (NTT, Inc.) provides an Introduction to PLCs Followed by Advanced Training in PLC Troubleshooting
Course Description: - Hands-On training. Learn by doing-overcome the fear of shutting down a PLC system by spending approximately 60% of the time programming and uploading/downloading exercises to and from the PLC and in Hands-On exercises programming the PLC, HMI, and communication networks.
- Discover the advantages of PLCs over electromechanical relay systems.
- Designed to thoroughly examine PLC architecture, including input and output systems, ladder logic vs. relay logic, and relay instructions; the role of timer delays, number systems, and the sizing and selection of PLCs; and troubleshooting, which covers installation precautions, wiring requirements, and debugging and diagnostic tools.
- Learn how the PLC is integrated with operator interfaces (OIs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), and network I/O systems.
Course Benefits: - Reduce downtime by troubleshooting PLC and field device malfunctions.
- Maintain cost-effective operations.
- Gain the knowledge to do your job more effectively.
- Reduce downtime by implementing preventive action to reduce troubleshooting time by creating real-time troubleshooting diagnostic systems using the PLC and HMI (finding the source of an unscheduled downtime problem typically takes 80% of the costly downtime).
What You Will Learn:
- How PLCs are programmed and what types of programming can be used
- What causes most PLC problems.
- How to specify PLC hardware and plan for installations
- How to setup communications with computers/laptops
- How to use processor status table, search, cross reference, and forcing functions
- To navigate through programs, and upload/download with the confidence gained through Hands-On training
- To construct PLC/HMI interactive data tables
- How to setup communication options for network and remote I/O systems
- How to configure, scale monitor and program analog I/O
- The advantages of modularizing programs by using subroutines
- How to create real-time fault diagnostics
- HMI screen, button, indicator, and alarm design
