Introduction to Instrumentation and Process Control Training Seminar
Training Process Control Personnel Can Save You Time and Money-Become More Efficient at Troubleshooting and Calibrating Process Control Equipment with National Technology Transfer, Inc. (NTT, Inc.)!
Testimonials "The hands-on labs were excellent. Very instrumental to my learning. Bob has lots of energy and creates a non-threatening learning environment. I was not afraid to ask questions which is very important."
Course Description:
- Hands-On training. Learn by doing-spend approximately 40% of the time
actually working with various instruments and controllers.
- Receive firsthand instruction learning to program, connect input/output
devices, solve elementary and then more complex problems, plus troubleshoot.
Course Benefits:
- Increased versatility.
- Reduce downtime with effective troubleshooting.
- Get a better command of your analysis equipment.
What You Will Learn:
- How the various instruments measure temperature, pressure, flowrate, level and position, pH, weight and density
- What causes errors in instruments, plus how to minimize and troubleshoot them
- What the differences are between open and closed loop controls, feedback and feed forward controls, PLC, DCS and stand-alone controllers
- How analog signals are produced, processed, and protected from noise
- What Proportional, PI, and PID control strategies are
- How to calibrate transmitters and tune controllers

Students work on specialized hands-on training equipment built specifically for this purpose. The trainers consists of a pneumatic supply and control equipment, DC voltage supply, differential pressure transmitter, a digital pressure gauge, a current to pneumatic transducer, and three mode controller.
Working on the trainers, students investigate different temperature measurement devices, calibrate a differential pressure transmitter, and construct a current signal loop and a full closed loop for tuning a three-mode controller. All mechanical and electrical components provide access for system troubleshooting. Students learn to use service tools and equipment such as supply pressure regulators, digital multi-meters, current signal generators, and various hand tools. |
