CAWBL (Cisco Advanced Wireless Bridging Lab v4.0) Training Seminar

Cisco Aironet Essentials of Wireless Bridging & Advanced Bridging Lab is
the ultimate class offering designed to give the attendee the skills necessary
to design and deploy long distance wireless bridge links. This seminar features
in-depth instructor-led presentations and hands-on instructor guided labs that
will challenge even the experienced RF engineer. Main topics include: the basics
of bridging; topologies supported; FCC/ETSI/FAA regulations; path
considerations; calculation tools; antenna selection and alignment; mounting
considerations; towers; NEMA enclosures; lightning protection; and Spanning Tree
Protocol. In addition, attendees will perform path analysis exercises and design
bridge links using special tools such as a compass, GPS and TOPO maps. Attendees
will be provided with state-of-the-art equipment, including the Cisco Aironet
1300 and 1400 series bridges and all appropriate antennas, to actually install
several bridge links and align antennas properly utilizing GigaWave's
state-of-the-art Bridging Tower, so dress comfortably.
To participate in the hands-on labs, please bring a laptop computer with
an available 32-bit Card-Bus slot and an Ethernet port. The laptop's operating
systems must be either MS Windows 2000 (SP4) or XP. The laptop should also have
a 9-pin serial port or USB-to-serial adapter. IN ADDITION, you will need
administrator rights to the laptop to install drivers for the wireless client
used in class.
