Cisco ONS SONET 15454 Turn Up, Test, Provisioning, Basic ML, and Operation Training v7.0 (OCTPO) Training Seminar
The Cisco ONS 15454 is a fast and powerful yet easy to use optical platform
that lowers the cost and increases the efficiency of bandwidth delivery within
optical transport networks. This course provides instructor-led training that
enables the student to learn how to operate the ONS 15454 through classroom
instruction and hands-on training on a 6-node ONS 15454 system. Working in small
groups of up to 3 people per node, students complete a wide range of tasks
covering many system features and functions. Over 50 percent of classroom time
will be hands on labs. Each student has the opportunity to participate in every
lab. Lab exercises rely on the Cisco ONS 15454 User Documentation for references
to specific procedures. This class incorporates the use of a DS3 test set to
test DS3 circuits. The student will test circuits using a hard loop, terminal
loop and facilities loop.
This class does not cover the DWDM features of the ONS 15454; however, they
are covered in our Cisco ONS 15454 MSTP Turn Up, Test, Provisioning, and
Operation course.
This class does not cover the advanced features and capabilities of the ML
card; however, they are covered in our Cisco ONS 15454 ML-Series Metro Optical
Ethernet (OMSSA) course.
