SAN Management Training Seminar

This course provides an overview of the principles and best practices for effective SAN management: managing switches natively or via EMC tools, an overview of Symmetrix and CLARiiON array management as it relates to the SAN, fabric management using EMC tools, and performance and monitoring indicators. Specific topics covered include native tools for managing Connectrix M-Series, B-Series and MDS-Series switches, and EMC SAN and storage management tools (Solutions Enabler 6.4 SYMCLI, Symmetrix Management Console 6.0, Navisphere Manager 6.24, and ControlCenter SAN Manager 6.0). Best practices observed in SAN environments, such as security, performance monitoring, and documentation are also discussed. The course is designed to be approximately 60% lecture and 40% lab.
