Course Description
Introduction to the regular ICD-9-CM Codes, V & E Codes, Hypertension & Neoplasm tables, Tables of Drugs and Chemicals and other sections are studied and practiced. This course may be taken by itself or with the associated coding courses.
Lesson 1: Defining the steps to diagnosis coding
Lesson 2: Examine current Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting
Lesson 3: Review infectious and parasitic diseases coding
Lesson 4: Analyze the neoplasm’s coding
Lesson 5: Examine the endocrine, nutritional, metabolic diseases, and immunity disorders coding
Lesson 6: Review the blood conditions, mental disorders, nervous system, and sense organs coding
Lesson 7: Review the circulatory systems coding
Lesson 8: Review the respiratory systems coding
Lesson 9: Examine the digestive system coding
Lesson 10: Analyze the genitourinary system coding
Lesson 11: Review the pregnancy, childbirth, and puerperium coding
Lesson 12: Review the skin and subcutaneous tissue coding
Lesson 13: Examine the congenital and certain conditions originating in the perinatal period coding
