    The purpose of this program is to provide nurses an understanding of the significance of tachyarryhthmias, how to identify them from an ECG strip and the appropriate interventions.

    After completing this course, the learner should be able to:

  • Define the main atrial dysrhythmias: premature atrial complexes, paroxysmal atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, and atrial fibrillation.
  • Recognize the main atrial dysrhythmias and state their probable causes.
  • Identify the appropriate interventions when the main atrial dysrhythmias occur.
