Course Description
As an employer or HR professional, it’s your responsibility to make sure that you understand how HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) applies to your organization. Not only is it important to protect your employees’ rights, but HIPAA violations can leave your organization vulnerable to fines, penalties, even lawsuits!
That’s why we’ve created this important one-hour webinar: to turn complex legal jargon into sensible, practical guidelines.
When you attend this webinar, you’ll learn about the four federal health care laws that apply to group health plans — and that it’s imperative your organization is following. We’ll cover the essentials of:
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
The Newborns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act of 1996 (the Newborns’ Act)
The Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 (WHCRA)
The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA)
Make sure that your organization is 100% HIPAA compliant!
You need to be positive that you’re fully up-to-date on all the rules, regulations, and best practices surrounding health care legislation, so that you’re not leaving your organization at risk. Enroll in Practical HIPAA Compliance Training today, and learn how to make absolutely sure that your organization is following acceptable practices while complying with the law!
