Navigating Form 5500: A Guided Tour for Health & Welfare Plan Sponsors and TPAs Training Seminar
Anyone who has Form 5500 duties knows that every year there's some new twist.
In this 90-minute web seminar, two experts will walk you through the Form 5500, highlighting changes and tips on how to avoid common problem areas in health and welfare plan reporting.
Here are some of the topics we'll cover:- What plans have to file Form 5500? Is a Form 5500 ever required for a plan that has fewer than 100 covered participants? What exactly is a "covered participant"?
- When is Schedule A required? What if an insurer doesn't provide Schedule A information? Is stop-loss insurance reported on Schedule A? What's reported on Schedule A if the plan year and the insurance contract year differ?
- When is Schedule C required? Must fees for stop-loss insurance be reported on Schedule C? Where should fees paid to an insurance company for administrative services be reported?
- Do health and welfare plans ever have to file Schedule D?
- When are Schedules H and I required? When is an accountant's opinion required?
- Is Form 5500 required for cafeteria plans? How about for health FSAs, DCAPs, health insurance, and other benefits offered through a cafeteria plan?
- How does having a wrap plan affect filing requirements?
- What are the top reasons for rejected Form 5500 filings? What are the penalties for failing to file? What should you do about delinquent Form 5500s?
