Breakthrough Teams: Seven Secrets for Boosting Productivity and Morale Training Seminar
Why is Manager X's team unified, focused and blasting through their goals, while Manager Y's group complain about their leader and blame each other for the team's failure? The answer is simple: Manager X understands something about team dynamics that Manager Y does not.
When teams work - that is, when pooling diverse knowledge and expertise solves specific problems or increases overall productivity and efficiency - the results can be magical. Failed teams, on the other hand, can really poison an organization. That's why smart organizations train managers how to lead teams effectively.
What are the elements of excellent teamwork? How do you create and sustain it? This course will provide a seven-step plan that leaders can use to build successful new teams or reinvigorate existing ones. Participants will learn:
- How to get the team involved in goal achievement.
- How to increase motivation to achieve goals.
- How to recognize team members while avoiding jealousy or unhealthy competition.
- Why conflict in teams isn't always a bad thing.
- Why teamwork is often undermined by well-intentioned managers
- Why traditional management techniques are sometimes inappropriate for managing a team.
- How to handle disruptive team members.
- How to get the team to self-evaluate and improve performance.
- How to use cross training to improve performance.
- Why it's so important for team leaders to get off the field and let the team play!
