Indoor Air Quality Certified Professional Course The goal of the course is to provide a broad understanding of indoor air quality problems, the conditions that cause them, the affects on the occupants, and the ability to identify solutions to the problems.
The Indoor Air Quality Certified Professional (IAQCP) certification level is ideal for those involved in the HVAC field, IAQ product representatives, educators, healthcare workers, property managers, building maintenance, etc. Becoming certified as an IAQCP requires an active interest or experience in a field relevant to indoor air quality and demonstration of knowledge of core IAQ concepts through passage of the certification examination. Active interest, experience and the study materials should ensure successful passage of the examination.
Upon successful completion of the Certification Exam, you will receive a Certificate and a Certification plastic ID card. Certification allows you to use your certification designation of IAQCP, IECC, IECI, IEMC, or MICP on letterhead, business cards and marketing materials.
Those who have been granted IIAQC credentials must demonstrate an ongoing professional commitment to the field of indoor air quality or mold inspection by satisfying continuing education requirements. To maintain certification you must accumulate 2 continuing education credits during a certification year. CE credits can be earned from continual work in the IAQ field and attending seminars.
Once the application has been reviewed and payment processed, a Certification Study Guide in .pdf format is sent for the certification you have requested. The Study Guide contains all the information you need for passage of your certification examination. You will also receive your personal access code to the Exam-on-Demand website. You may take the on-line exam at any time, at your convenience, 24 hours a day.
The certification examinations are timed, and contain multiple choice and true/false questions. The exams are "open book". The different certification exams range from 75 - 125 questioins. A score of 80% is required for passage of the exams. Sample questions for the IAQCP exam can be reviewed below. Examination scores are confidential. Individuals who do not pass the exam may take it again.
