Introduction to ASP.NET Part 1: Introduction and Web Controls Training Seminar
The goals of this course are to present the learner with a broad overview of ASP.NET and to give a comprehensive introduction to Web Controls.
This course begins by introducing the .NET framework and also the differences between ASP and ASP.NET. After a brief coverage of the ASP.NET platform and features, the first unit covers core elements of ASP.NET - Web Forms, ASP.NET script code, and page events. The student learns how to add server-side script to an ASP.NET page and to add event procedures to the page.
Web controls are covered in detail in the second unit, with a lesson each devoted to intrinsic controls and input validation controls. The remaining controls - rich, list-bound, and custom - are covered in the final lesson. Students learn to use different types of Web controls in their applications.
