This course shows the trainee how an enterprise's structure can be mapped using the SAP R/3 System. The course explains the components that comprise cost accounting in the R/3 System and how cost accounting is integrated within the system as a whole. The course also shows the basic settings that have to be made for Cost Center Accounting in Customizing.

Unit 1 Overview and Objectives Starting the R/3 System - The trainee will be shown how to start the R/3 System using the SAP Logon 4.6D dialog box. Logging on for the First Time - The trainee will be shown the sequence of steps required to log on to the system for the first time. General Structure - The trainee will be introduced to the basic structure of the SAP Easy Access screen. Screen Header - The trainee will be shown the most important changes that have been made to the header of the SAP Easy Access screen. Screen Body - The trainee will be shown the most important changes that have been made to the body and status bar of the SAP Easy Access screen. Easy Access Menu Structures - The trainee will be able to identify the components of the SAP Easy Access screen. Calling up Program Functions - The trainee will be shown which options are available for calling up an executable program. General Settings - The trainee will be shown the general settings for the SAP Easy Access screen. Workplace - The trainee will be introduced to the structure of the Business Workplace. Workflow - Overview - The trainee will be shown how workflow processes are integrated in the Business Workplace. Printing from the R/3 System - The trainee will be shown how workflow processes are integrated in the Business Workplace. Unit 1 Summary Post Assessment Unit 2 Overview and Objectives Integration - The trainee will find out how Controlling is related to the other applications. Components of Cost Accounting - The trainee will find out which functional areas Controlling comprises and which forms of cost accounting are supported. Client - The trainee will be introduced to the functions of the clients in the SAP R/3 System. Chart of Accounts and Company Code - The trainee will find out about the relationship between the chart of accounts and company code. Controlling Area - The trainee will be introduced to the relationship between the controlling area and company code. Unit 2 Summary Post Assessment Unit 3 Overview and Objectives Customizing Functions - find the required functions in the Implementation Guide. Controlling Area - Basic Data - The learner will find out, how basic data of a controlling area is maintained. Company Code/Controlling Area - assign a new company code to a controlling area. Control Indicators - The learner will find out, how control indicators for a controlling area are entered and changed. Number Ranges - set up number ranges. Maintaining Intervals - maintain the intervals of a number range group and create a new group. Cost Element Attributes - create cost element attributes. Attribute Mix - create an attribute mix for a cost element. Cost Center Categories - define cost center categories. Unit 3 Summary Post Assessment
