If a person already holds a current real estate license in any state, that person is eligible to get a reciprocal real estate license in Alabama. If a person does not already have a real estate license, then the applicant needs to take the Alabama Salesperson License Course. Additional Requirements For Reciprocal License:
- The current license can be on either active or inactive status in the state where the prelicense course work was completed.
- The applicant must obtain a certification of licensure (license history) from the qualifying state and any other state(s) where the applicant has held a license within the past 5 years.
- Complete this 6-hour course on Alabama law.
- After completion of this course the applicant must pass only the Alabama law portion of Alabama’s salesperson state licensing exam, because the applicant has already passed the entire state exam that is called for to be licensed in another state.
This self-paced course is delivered over the Internet. It is designed with flash video to incorporate learning strategies for both the visual learner and the auditory learner.
