Adobe recently announced that users of Windows and Mac computers can download its Photoshop Lightroom 4 beta product for free.
According to the company, the new Lightroom product is "essential" for amateur and seasoned digital photographers because they can easily import and manage their photos. Key features of the platform include its enhanced shadow capabilities and features that reduce noise and white balance adjustment.
The latest beta software is a preview of the final application, which will be available at some point early this year. Adobe also encouraged photographers to download the software so the company can gain useful feedback for the final release.
"Giving early customer access to new versions of Lightroom has helped our team deliver an outstanding battle-tested product that really stands up to the demands of photographers worldwide," said Adobe vice president Winston Hendrickson.
