Candidates should plan to register for the class that is closest to their exam date, or alternatively, schedule their exam date to be several days after the completion of the class.

An individual must have a sponsoring company/firm in order to sit for the exam. You may self-study and take as many exam prep courses as you wish without a sponsor, but a sponsoring firm must be obtained before sitting for the actual exam.
