Taking the CourseThis course is entirely self-study; move through the manual at your own pace while you prepare for the exam! This course will not expire.
Taking the ExamExam procedures will be included with the text materials. Students will be required to pass a 50-question, multiple-choice, closed-book exam with a grade of 70% or higher in the presence of a NY State Insurance Department approved monitor. Students are provided 2 attempts to pass the examination.
Monitoring fees are included in the price of tuition ONLY IF THE EXAM IS MONITORED AT POHS INSTITUTE.
Alternatively, students can make arrangements to find their own NY State approved monitor; click
here to review the approved list of monitors on the Department's website.
However, students may be required to pay an additional monitoring fee to that monitor.
In addition, those students who would like to take the exam in front of an outside monitor must contact Pohs Institute directly and pay for delivery of a sealed exam and monitor affidavit package.
